Reconciled Hasidic Leaders End Five-Year Feud

Two prominent Hasidic rebbes, the Admor of Nadvorna and the Admor of Nadvorna Jerusalem, met for a reconciliation talk after a five-year estrangement. The historic meeting took place on Friday night during the Ten Days of Repentance at the Nadvorna Rebbe's residence in Bnei Brak.

The rift between the brothers reportedly stemmed from a real estate dispute and legal complexities concerning land adjacent to the Nadvorna synagogue in Jerusalem. However, following extensive efforts by community leaders from both Hasidic courts, the two leaders agreed to set aside their differences and begin a new chapter of brotherhood.

During the gathering, the rebbes engaged in a lengthy and pleasant conversation, focusing on shared memories of their late father, the "Be'er Yaakov" of Nadvorna, and the spiritual significance of the High Holy Days. The dispute itself was not discussed. The Nadvorna Rebbe honored his brother with wine, and they exchanged blessings for a good and blessed year.

Community activists Chaim Meir Katz, CEO of Vizhnitz institutions in Elad, and Yekutiel Yehuda Ganzel, representing the Nadvorna Jerusalem Hasidim, were instrumental in mediating the reconciliation. The Nadvorna Rebbe escorted his brother to his car upon departure, signifying the successful resolution of the conflict.
