Rabbis Perform Tashlich Ritual Across Israel and Abroad

Across Israel and in Lakewood, New Jersey, Hasidic rabbis led their followers in the traditional Tashlich ("casting away") prayer ceremony, a custom performed before Rosh Hashanah. Rabbis from various Hasidic dynasties, including Skuleni-Lakewood, Sadigura, Pshevarsk, and Modzitz, were seen performing the ritual by lakes and even in specially constructed basins filled with water and ornamental fish.

In Bnei Brak, Rabbi Elimelech Biderman led the Tashlich prayer with children filling a large bucket with water. The Rebbe of Spinka Ramat Aharon also performed the ritual with fish in a basin within his synagogue, while the Rebbe of Shomrei Emunim was seen by a lake in a "live animal corner." The Rebbe of Darg, accompanied by hundreds of followers, performed the ritual by a fishpond outside his synagogue.

In Lakewood, the Skuleni-Lakewood Rebbe led his community in prayer by a large lake, followed by enthusiastic dancing. In Brooklyn, the Modzitz Rebbe appeared for the first time since a recent heart procedure, leading hundreds of followers in Tashlich at Brooklyn Park.

In other news, the Rebbe of Nadvorna hosted his estranged brother, the Rebbe of Nadvorna Jerusalem, for a reconciliation meeting in Bnei Brak. The meeting, which took place during the Ten Days of Repentance, aimed to mend a five-year rift between the siblings. Additionally, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch visited the Rebbe's tent in Queens before Yom Kippur, describing the experience as "special and meaningful."
