Poll Reveals Vast Differences in Jewish Identity Between Israeli Right and Left

A new "Sofashavua" poll indicates significant disparities in Jewish identity and connection to Israel between right-wing and center-left/left-wing voters. The survey, conducted among a representative sample of the Jewish population, found that 98% of right-wing voters identify as proud to be Jewish, compared to only 31% of center-left and left-wing voters.

When asked if they would choose to be born to Jewish parents, 95% of right-wing supporters said yes, contrasting sharply with 38% of those on the center-left and left. Similar divides emerged regarding the desire to live in Israel and raise families there. A substantial 82% of right-wing voters expressed a preference for living in Israel, versus just 27% of center-left and left-wing voters. Furthermore, 87% of right-wing respondents wished for their children to remain living in Israel, compared to 35% among the center-left and left.

The poll also noted that between 65% and 70% of all respondents identified as right-wing voters.
