Otzma Yehudit Claims 1,500 Ultra-Orthodox Serve in Israeli Security Forces
Approximately 1,500 individuals from the ultra-Orthodox sector have been recruited into the police, Shin Bet, and prison service during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's tenure, according to Ezra Mor, head of the Russian-speaking staff for the Otzma Yehudit party. Mor stated in an exclusive interview with MIG TV that public discussion often focuses on the draft of Haredim into the IDF, overlooking their integration into security forces under the purview of the National Security Minister.
Mor acknowledged that 1,500 might seem like a small number, but he emphasized it represents a significant figure for the ultra-Orthodox community. He detailed that these individuals are involved in armed service, guarding terrorists, and participating in their apprehension. This recruitment, he stressed, is not a one-time event but an ongoing effort to integrate Haredim into public service.
