Otzma Yehudit Explains Split With Smotrich, Welcomes Gottlieb

Ezra Mor, head of the Russian-speaking headquarters for the Otzma Yehudit party, revealed the party's election strategy in an interview with MIG TV. He explained the decision not to unite with Bezalel Smotrich's list, stating that Otzma Yehudit did not see significant political advantage in such a merger. Mor believes the union would not have yielded a substantial increase in Knesset seats but would have necessitated difficult compromises.

Mor did, however, find a potential merger between Bezalel Smotrich and Moshe Feiglin more logical, as a joint list would reduce their risk of falling below the electoral threshold. He also commented on the addition of Knesset member Tali Gottlieb to Otzma Yehudit's team.

Mor described Gottlieb and Itamar Ben-Gvir as looking "very organic" together, stating they "look great in tandem." Gottlieb recently moved from the Likud party to Otzma Yehudit, securing the second position on the party's electoral slate.
