Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Collision Near Kiryat Ata
A motorcyclist, approximately 35 years old, was killed in a severe accident on Highway 780 near Kiryat Ata on Thursday evening. The motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle while riding. Emergency medical personnel from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and found the rider in critical condition with severe, multi-system injuries. Despite their efforts, they were forced to declare him dead after medical examinations.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision sustained minor injuries. After receiving initial medical treatment at the scene, the driver was transported to Rambam Hospital.
Paramedic Alex Buchman and MDA EMT David Avraham described the scene, stating, "We saw the motorcyclist lying by the side of the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, with very severe injuries to his body after being hit by a vehicle. We performed medical examinations, but unfortunately, his injuries were significant, and we had no choice but to declare him dead."
EMT David Zar and Avi Feivelzon from Hatzala EMS also reported finding a 37-year-old motorcyclist unconscious, pulseless, and breathless with extensive injuries. They confirmed that after medical assessments with MDA and Hatzala teams, the paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. They also provided initial treatment to the vehicle's driver for bodily injuries before he was evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa in light condition.
