Rebbe of Nadvorna Inaugurates New Jerusalem Study Hall
The Grand Rebbe of Nadvorna, Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Rabinowitz, inaugurated a new study hall for his Hasidic followers in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah to the entrance of the new hall, a "small sanctuary" built with great splendor. He also honored his eldest son by having him affix a mezuzah to another room within the complex.
Following the mezuzah affixing ceremonies, the assembled community participated in the evening prayer service, Maariv. After prayers, the Rebbe led a "l'chaim" (a toast with spirits) accompanied by songs of inspiration and devotion in the style of the High Holy Days. He delivered a discourse emphasizing the importance of the study hall and the merit of establishing a place for prayer.
The event concluded with joyous singing, and the Rebbe himself led a celebratory dance. The Hasidic followers then approached the Rebbe to receive his blessings.
