Commentator Claims Polls Mislead Right-Wing Voters

Commentator Itamar Fleishman asserted on Thursday that recent mainstream media polls showing a tightening race or a lead for the Netanyahu bloc are misleading and designed to lull right-wing voters into complacency. Speaking on the program "Israel Hayom," Fleishman argued that the presented poll numbers, which suggest hundreds of thousands of voters have shifted from left to right, are "an absolute lie."

Fleishman explained that this alleged manipulation of poll data by competing channels is intended not only to provide an excuse if election results are unfavorable but also to create a dangerous sense of complacency among right-wing supporters. He stated that the primary challenge for right-wing parties is mobilizing voters to go to the polls, a task at which the left is reportedly more adept and organized.

Fleishman highlighted that while established parties like Likud and Religious Zionism have a base that should theoretically ensure turnout, there is significant concern within right-wing campaign headquarters about how to prevent voter apathy on election day. He emphasized that the crucial mission is to get people out to vote, suggesting that current efforts are insufficient to achieve this goal.
