Bnei Brak Residents Mistake Dorm Cooking for Fire, Alert Firefighters

Residents of Bnei Brak were alarmed Thursday night after observing flames and smoke emanating from a window of the "Beit Medrash Elyon" yeshiva dormitory. Concerned that a fire had broken out, they immediately alerted emergency services.

However, during their investigation, the firefighters discovered the surprising cause of the smoke and flames. Instead of a fire, hungry students within the dormitory had been preparing a late-night meal, specifically "smoked tuna," near a window. The cooking process generated the smoke and visible flames that had caused the public alarm.
