Settler Outpost Removed From Russian Land Following Unified Local Action
The local council and popular committee of Majd al-Krum issued a joint statement announcing the successful removal of a settler outpost from an area known as 'Russian Land.' The statement, titled 'Russian Land is Ours... and Through Our Unity and Solidarity We Protected Our Land,' declared that the settlers had departed the area "God willing, never to return." The council and committee emphasized that the outpost's removal was not voluntary but the direct result of a "tremendous popular and public stand" where the community united "like one body." They highlighted that this collective action, involving men, women, elders, and youth, along with supporters from outside Majd al-Krum, proved that defending land and rights is a "collective responsibility."
The statement extended gratitude to all participants, including those who traveled from outside the town, asserting that their stand sent a clear message that "our land and the rights of our people are not a matter for complacency." Special thanks were also given to journalists and media outlets, both Arab and foreign, for their professionalism in amplifying the voices of those with legitimate claims.
