Settler Outpost in Majd al-Krum Deemed Illegal by Local Leadership

The political party Wafaa and Reform has condemned the establishment of an illegal settler outpost in the village of Majd al-Krum, located in the Galilee region of northern Israel. According to a statement released by the party, a group of settlers erected tents and laid water pipes in the area under the pretext of grazing livestock. This action sparked anger among the local residents, the local council, and the popular committee, who promptly went to the site and demanded the settlers' departure.

Salim Salibi, head of the local council, urged residents and supporters to maintain a constant presence in the area. He pledged to invite members of the Follow-up Committee and other popular forces to visit the site and pursue the matter legally and officially. The party highlighted that it is closely monitoring the developments due to the significant risks involved, viewing this move as a potential precursor to a new phase of settlement expansion in the Galilee, part of what they described as a "Judaization project for the Negev and Galilee."

The party also noted that similar attempts to establish a grazing outpost were observed months prior in the village of Arraba, indicating the seriousness of the ongoing scheme. Wafaa and Reform lauded the stance of the residents of Majd al-Krum, the local council, and the popular committee, describing their confrontation with the settlers as heroic. They emphasized their complete and rightful rejection of this encroachment on the land of the people of Majd al-Krum, warning of dire consequences for landowners in the al-Rous area and the village's structural plan should the outpost be solidified.
