The club had hoped to announce Nikolasco's signing on Wednesday, according to Sport 5. The deal collapsed because Maccabi Tel Aviv did not secure a foreign player, which was a condition for Nikolasco's departure.

Hapoel Ramat Gan was prepared to sign Nikolasco despite his expected two-month recovery period from injury, showing respect for the player and aiming to maintain good relations with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Club officials stated, "Nikolasco wanted to play for Hapoel Ramat Gan, everything was already agreed, we were ready for all conditions, it's a shame it fell apart in the 90th minute."

Following this setback, Hapoel Ramat Gan will now search for a free agent forward. Meanwhile, the team, managed by Msai Dego, is preparing for a relegation battle match against Bnei Sakhnin in Doha.
