Hapoel Ramat Gan Disappointed as Nicolescu Transfer Collapses

Hapoel Ramat Gan was hoping to announce the signing of Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Yonatan Nicolescu on Wednesday, according to Sport Channel. However, the deal fell through due to Maccabi Tel Aviv's failure to secure a foreign player.

Ramat Gan was prepared to take Nicolescu on, even though he is expected to be sidelined for another two months due to injury. The club did this out of respect for the player and to maintain good relations with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Ultimately, they were disappointed.

"Nicolescu wanted to play for Hapoel Ramat Gan, everything was already agreed upon, we were ready for all conditions, it's a shame it fell apart at the last minute," a club representative stated, expressing their frustration.

Following this failed transfer, Hapoel Ramat Gan will now pursue a free agent for their forward line. Meanwhile, coach Messaï Dego's team is preparing for a relegation battle against Bnei Sakhnin in Doha. Maxim Fankushchenko is doubtful for the match, and the coach is not expected to change the starting lineup from their victory over Maccabi Netanya.
