The club had hoped to announce the transfer, despite Nikolasco being sidelined for another two months due to injury. The decision to pursue the player stemmed from respect for him and a desire to maintain good relations with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Club officials stated, "Nikolasco wanted to play for Hapoel Ramat Gan, everything was already agreed upon, we were ready for all conditions, it's a shame it fell apart in the 90th minute." The transfer collapsed because Maccabi Tel Aviv was unable to secure a foreign player to replace Nikolasco.

Following this setback, Hapoel Ramat Gan will now search for a free agent striker to bolster their offense. Meanwhile, the team, managed by Msai Dego, is preparing for a crucial relegation battle against Bnei Sakhnin in Doha. Maxim Fashchenko is doubtful for the match, and the coach is unlikely to change the starting lineup that secured a win against Maccabi Netanya.
