IDF Conducts Surprise Readiness Drill Across Israel
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the commencement of a surprise joint drill involving the Technology and Logistics Directorate and the Home Front Command. The exercise began Tuesday morning at multiple locations across Israel and is scheduled to continue until the afternoon.
The drill aims to assess the multi-branch and techno-logistical readiness and alertness for various unexpected operational scenarios. It will also test the proficiency, preparedness, and response capabilities of the Home Front Command, including the activation of reserves and the decision-making processes at all levels, from regional commands and districts to the General Staff.
During the exercise, increased movement of security forces, military medical units, and vehicles is expected in various areas throughout the country. The IDF stressed that there is no concern of a security incident related to the drill.
The exercise was planned as part of the IDF's training schedule for 2026.
