Israeli Forces Destroy Hezbollah Command Center After 3-Month Operation

Elite Israeli military units, including the Maglan and Yahalom special forces, have successfully completed a three-month operation in the Al-Taher mountain range in southern Lebanon, targeting and destroying critical Hezbollah infrastructure. The operation, which concluded just before the Rosh Hashanah holiday, involved extensive intelligence gathering and direct combat in challenging terrain.

During the mission, soldiers navigated difficult conditions, including rugged mountains, dense vegetation, and large boulders, while facing enemy fire, drones, and ambushes. Their efforts culminated in the discovery and destruction of a central command complex belonging to Hezbollah's Badr unit. This underground facility, spanning kilometers, included command and control centers, communication and intelligence hubs, ventilation systems, kitchens, and medical rooms, indicating long-term strategic planning by the organization.

The operation required prolonged ambushes, covert movements, and meticulous intelligence work to map the subterranean network. Commanders emphasized that the success was a result of sustained effort, perseverance, and inter-unit cooperation. The destruction of the main infrastructure was carried out via a planned explosion.

Sadly, the operation was not without cost. Sergeant First Class Nir Ben Ari was killed in action, and several other soldiers were wounded. The successful destruction of the Hezbollah assets was hailed by unit commanders as a significant blow to the organization's operational capabilities in the region.
