Coca-Cola Diner Pop-Up Returns to Tel Aviv With Celebrity Chefs and Live Music
Coca-Cola's "Diner Pop-Up" is returning to Tel Aviv for its second consecutive year, scheduled to take place at Hangar 11 from September 29 to October 2, coinciding with the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday. The event, which follows last year's success, aims to blend American diner-inspired cuisine with live musical performances each evening. This year's iteration is the culmination of Coca-Cola's "Diner Month," during which over 200 businesses nationwide will feature special menus and dishes.
Culinary offerings will be curated by prominent chefs including Haim Cohen, Moshik Roth, Guy Gamzo, and Yarden Shi, alongside pastry chef Moran Gil. Each chef will present their unique take on classic diner fare. For instance, Haim Cohen will serve crispy wings and beef sandwiches, Moshik Roth will offer a classic hamburger and mushroom sloppy joe, Guy Gamzo will feature an Asian-inspired chicken sandwich and chili con carne, and Yarden Shi will prepare a hot dog and chicken tacos. Moran Gil will provide a lemon tart dessert.
The event will also feature a lineup of musical artists. September 29 will see performances by Shira Zargari and Liran Danino, followed by Peled and Agam Buhbut on September 30. Yasmin Moalem and Ran Danker are scheduled for October 1, with Noam Batat closing the event on October 2.
Shuli Carmel, head of the beverage division at CBC Israel, stated that the diner concept is integral to Coca-Cola's cultural identity, allowing them to reinterpret a brand icon with a contemporary culinary twist. She added that the company aimed to create an even richer experience this year following last year's success.
Admission is restricted to individuals aged 16 and above, with tickets priced at 57 shekels, which includes a choice of a main dish and a Coca-Cola or Coca-Cola Zero. Tickets will be available from September 15 via Coca-Cola's dedicated microsite and the Eventer website. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. The food and drinks will be kosher-certified by the Chief Rabbinate of Rishon LeZion, with vegan and gluten-free options available for some dishes. A separate station will be designated for dairy desserts, and a Sukkah will be present for the holiday.
In line with sustainability efforts, food will be served in compostable utensils, and the venue will feature recycling stations for beverage containers. Proceeds from deposit fees collected will be donated to the "Leket Israel" organization. Coca-Cola is monitoring the current security situation and will issue updates if any changes occur.
