Beitar Jerusalem Supports Player Calo After Two Car Accidents

Beitar Jerusalem is providing transportation and potentially driving lessons to its player, Jhonnes da Silva, commonly known as Jhonbosco Calo, following two recent self-inflicted car accidents within a month. Calo was involved in incidents where he drove onto a sidewalk and nearly hit a wall, fortunately causing no other injuries. The club stepped in to arrange taxis or a private driver for him to attend training and return home, as his leasing company has been slow to provide a replacement vehicle.

Adding to the situation, Calo reportedly did not possess a valid Israeli driver's license last season, relying on a taxi driver for transportation to practices. This season, he presented an international license obtained abroad to the club and the leasing company, which led to him being issued a car until the recent accidents occurred.

Beitar Jerusalem has decided to address the issue comprehensively, recognizing the need for more than just a replacement vehicle. The club is considering offering Calo additional driving lessons in Israel to help him regain confidence on the road.
