Beitar Jerusalem Star Player Involved in Serious Car Crash
Beitar Jerusalem forward Junior Ebongue Kalou was involved in a serious car accident on Tuesday when his vehicle veered off the road, mounted the sidewalk, and collided with a concrete wall and poles. The 28-year-old Nigerian striker's car reportedly veered off course for an unclear reason, continuing onto the sidewalk until the crash.
The vehicle sustained significant damage, but Kalou himself emerged from the incident unharmed. He has since updated Beitar Jerusalem officials on his condition. Kalou joined the Jerusalem club last summer from Swedish side Varnamo. After an acclimatization period, he established himself as a key offensive player for the team.
Last season, the striker made 40 appearances across all competitions for the yellow-and-black team, scoring ten goals and providing four assists. The accident occurred as Kalou had become one of Beitar Jerusalem's most important attacking players. The incident resulted in substantial damage to his car, while the player escaped without injury.
