Haredi Seminary Students Raise Over $2.7 Million for Torah Scholars

Thousands of Haredi seminary students participated in a fundraising campaign called "For Your Torah" organized by the "World of Torah Fund" on Wednesday, successfully raising over 10 million shekels (approximately $2.7 million USD) for yeshiva students and Kollel scholars in under three hours. The students established fundraising centers and contacted family and acquaintances to solicit donations.

Even before the campaign's official launch, the students had already raised approximately five million shekels. Each student was assigned a personal fundraising goal of 8,400 shekels, which represents the cost of supporting a yeshiva student or Kollel scholar for one year. They aimed to meet this target by collecting donations from their immediate social circles.

The campaign was initiated in response to the cessation of government budgets and sanctions imposed due to the conscription law crisis and the legal status of tens of thousands of Torah scholars. The fund's objective is to cover the financial shortfalls in the budgets of yeshivas and Kollels, ensuring their continued operation.
