Maccabi Netanya will begin training this week, but before the first-team squad returns to the pitch, coach Roni Levi and his staff will hold two special training days for club players who are back from loan spells and for youth-team players who could break into the senior squad.
The leading loan returnee is left back Fares Abagyia, who scored two goals and added one assist while helping Hapoel Ramat Gan reach the Premier League. He is also attracting interest from Ramat Gan and other clubs. Other loan players taking part are midfielder Jouad Kadah, who was loaned to Hapoel Rishon LeZion, midfielder Li Yam Dan, who was loaned to Hapoel Ra'anana, midfielder Aviv Kanrik, who was loaned to Hapoel Acre, and defender Itay Kanrik, who was loaned to Hapoel Be'er Sheva's youth team.
Among the youth players, the names drawing the most attention are Daniel Atlan, Liam Cohen and Alex Talpa, all of whom have already appeared for the senior side this season and will require a decision from the coaching staff. To try to impress Levi and his team, Tohar Ta'ana, Idan David and Itay Montielgra will also participate.
Netanya's youth department is considered one of the best in Israel, and the expectation is that several of its graduates will join the first team again this season.
