Air Canada Suspends Senior Flight Attendant Over Antisemitic Posts

Air Canada has suspended a senior manager responsible for onboard services following allegations of antisemitic and violence-inciting social media posts. The airline confirmed the suspension of Blair Baudreau, who oversaw flight attendant operations and passenger service, after the website DansDeals reported on the content of his social media accounts. Air Canada stated that it is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.

"Air Canada condemns hate speech and the promotion of violence of any kind. This individual has been removed from service, and a thorough investigation is underway. We have no further comments at this time," a company spokesperson said. This incident follows a previous case where Air Canada suspended and later dismissed a Boeing 787 pilot for radical anti-Israel publications.

The suspension was announced just one day after Air Canada announced it would accelerate the resumption of its flights to Israel. The airline now plans its first flight to Ben Gurion Airport on November 30, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled January 17, 2027. During the winter season, Air Canada intends to operate four weekly flights to Tel Aviv on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
