Air Canada Suspends Senior Flight Attendant Over Antisemitic Posts

Air Canada has suspended a senior flight service manager after antisemitic and violent content was discovered on his social media accounts. The airline confirmed the suspension and stated that an internal investigation is underway.

According to a report by DansDeals, the employee, identified as Blair Boudreau, was responsible for overseeing flight attendants and in-flight passenger service. The social media posts attributed to Boudreau reportedly contained antisemitic material and content encouraging violence.

Following the exposure of these posts, DansDeals contacted Air Canada for a response. A company spokesperson confirmed that the employee had been removed from duty, stating, "Air Canada condemns hate speech and the promotion of violence of any kind. The individual has been removed from duty, and a full investigation is underway. We have no further comment at this time."

This is not the first instance of Air Canada suspending an employee due to online content. Previously, the airline suspended a Boeing 787 pilot for posting extremist content against Israel, leading to his eventual dismissal.

The suspension comes just one day after Air Canada announced it would resume flights to Israel earlier than planned. The airline stated that instead of restarting service on January 17, flights will now resume on November 30, with four weekly flights scheduled during the winter season.
