Arab Candidate Urges Vote Against "Racist" Minister Ben-Gvir's Negev Actions

Yousef Al-Atawneh, a candidate for the Knesset on the Joint List, has strongly criticized Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's "provocative" visits and "racist policies" in the Negev region. Al-Atawneh stated that Ben-Gvir's continued actions in the Negev, alongside what he described as "exclusionary and racist policies," necessitate a powerful and clear political response from the Arab community.

Al-Atawneh emphasized that the ballot box is the Arab community's strongest democratic weapon. He asserted that the true response lies in broad participation and unprecedentedly high voter turnout in the Negev and across the Arab community. He believes that increasing voter turnout will transform the community's popular strength into genuine political power capable of altering the political landscape and removing Ben-Gvir and his "extremist government" from political influence.

He further explained that each additional vote strengthens the community's presence and political power, ultimately enabling change. Al-Atawneh concluded by urging a high voter turnout to "transform our votes into political power capable of changing the political map and removing this racist and extremist approach from decision-making circles."
