Comedian Tal Friedman Reveals Intimate Scene with Orna Banai in New Series
Israeli actor and comedian Tal Friedman is returning to television in the new comedy series "People I Met," set to premiere on September 21 on Kan 11. The series, inspired by Matan Halek's book of the same name, focuses on the characters working at the "Simi Center" commercial complex in Beer Sheva's Neighborhood Aleph.
Friedman will portray "Popai the Exterminator," a role specifically written for him. He stars alongside a cast including Orna Banai, Dana Ivgy, Yaniv Biton, and Eli Ben David. This marks a significant on-screen reunion for Friedman and Banai, their first since their time on the popular show "Eretz Nehederet."
In an interview with "Israel Hayom," Friedman shared a surprising and humorous moment from the series' filming. He described an intimate scene with Banai, stating, "I have an erotic scene with Orna, on the table in her shop." He added with a smile that they had joked about such a scenario being "meant to be."
Despite the years since their last television collaboration, Friedman emphasized that their close friendship has endured. "Working with Orna is a full circle moment because we haven't worked together since 'Eretz,' but we are friends and we love each other," he said. He also praised the high caliber of the cast and expressed his enjoyment during filming.
