Naval Commandos Rappel From Helicopter Onto Building Roof in Hebron Area
Elite Israeli naval commandos from Unit 13 were filmed rappelling from a helicopter onto the roof of a building in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, during an unusual operational activity in the southern Hebron Hills. Footage circulating from the city shows the soldiers being lowered from the air directly onto the structure.
Simultaneously, large Israeli military forces, including numerous armored vehicles, entered Yatta and deployed in the area as part of the operation. While some Arab media initially suggested the activity was a military drill, an Israeli military source clarified that it was an operational mission.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the operation took place but declined to provide further details, citing information security concerns. A military spokesperson stated, "This was an operational activity by Unit 13 in the southern Hebron Hills. For information security reasons, we cannot elaborate further."
