Michal Hakatanah Reflects on Co-Sleeping After Breakup

Children's star Michal Hakatanah (43) is continuing her family routine despite recent personal difficulties. In August 2026, after a nine-month public relationship, she separated from her partner, actor Yehuda Buchbut (25). The couple met backstage during a joint play in November 2025 and attracted significant attention and criticism due to their 19-year age difference.

Following rumors of a crisis, the couple confirmed their split via a joint Instagram story, stating the decision was made with understanding, respect, and love, and requested public sensitivity and quiet. "Is sleeping in my bed with my daughters okay or not okay?" she wrote. "I'm no longer sure there's anything 'okay' or 'not okay' in parenting. Some children need this closeness, some periods require us more, and there are moments when we mothers just want them near."

She added, "Sometimes everyone gets into my bed, falls asleep next to me, and I admit I love it. One day they won't want to sleep with me, and I will deeply miss these moments." Hakatanah concluded by asking her Instagram followers, "I'm genuinely interested, without judgment: Do your children sleep with you? Are you for or against it? Is there even a 'right' or 'wrong' here?"
