Yehuda Bohbot Says Michal Will Be the Mother of His Children

Actor and singer Yehuda Bohbot, 25, says the public scrutiny around his relationship with TV personality Michal Haktana is nothing new to him. He says he first experienced fame at 12, when a friend of his mother suggested he audition for "The Boys and the Girls" on Children’s Channel. A soccer-obsessed kid from Netanya who wanted to be Neymar, Bohbot says a serious injury at 17 ended his playing career and pushed him toward acting.

Bohbot says he still plays in the Artists’ National Team, follows Brazil, and is now focused on a packed career. He has appeared in series including "Zot Sheli," "My Cousin Benj," "Bat HaShoter," "Dreamers," "Alufim," "The Pier," and others, with "Spiderz" becoming his big break, airing in 180 countries. He is currently filming another season of "My Cousin Benj," working on an album, preparing a Hanukkah musical, and soon will appear in the film "Givah 338" and another English-language film about the Yom Kippur War.

The relationship with Michal, 43, has drawn attention because she is the mother of six and the ex-wife of businessman Nir Witzman. Bohbot says they met about seven months ago during rehearsals for the musical "Magic of Dinosaurs," first appearing in the press almost immediately. He denies using the relationship for publicity and says criticism has also affected professional opportunities, including one campaign he lost because it was considered "not so values-based." He says, "She will be the mother of my children, no doubt," and adds that they are discussing marriage and children, though without rushing.

Bohbot describes Michal as funny, easygoing, energetic, supportive, strong, and an excellent cook. He says he loves her children, was misunderstood over a pool video in which he kissed the little girls on the lips, and also says a birthday-cake clip involving the boys was taken out of context. He says the family was initially surprised by the age gap, but now supports the relationship. He adds that they often spend time together at the sea, that they live in separate apartments in the same building, and that he sees marriage and fatherhood as likely next steps when the time is right.
