Ofer Vinter Slams Likud, Lieberman; Likud Threatens Defamation Suit

Ofer Vinter, chairman of the "Am Israel" party, launched a sharp verbal attack on the Likud party and its leader, Avigdor Lieberman, on Tuesday. Speaking at his party's conference in Rishon LeZion, Vinter accused Lieberman of misleading his voters by claiming he could bring a decisive victory for the right, arguing that partnering with figures like Yair Golan would prevent such an outcome.

Vinter also criticized the Likud's inner circle, suggesting advisors are out of touch with reality and relying on fabricated polls. He questioned the Likud's stance, stating, "You present to Netanyahu and the public that there are 64 mandates without me, so what are you complaining about? If victory is in the bag, then what do you want, what have I done to you?"

Furthermore, Vinter alleged that his party is facing pressure tactics aimed at dismantling it, claiming private investigators were hired and hateful messages were sent to him and party members. He asserted that his party remains united and unafraid.

The Likud party responded forcefully to Vinter's accusations, particularly regarding the claims of private investigators. They dismissed the allegations as "an absolute lie," demanding Vinter retract his statements immediately and threatening a defamation lawsuit if he fails to do so.
