PR Guru Roni Rahav Slams Heritage Minister Amihai Eliyahu
Prominent Israeli public relations figure Roni Rahav launched a scathing attack on Minister of Heritage Amihai Eliyahu on Tuesday, following remarks made by the minister regarding individuals associated with the "Kaplan" movement. Eliyahu reportedly stated that he would not enlist someone from Kaplan for combat, implying they would not charge forward.
Rahav, in a series of posts on his Twitter account, expressed extreme disapproval of Eliyahu's comments, particularly given the proximity to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. He described the minister as "trash" and "a terrible person who does not love Jews," questioning his standing as a religious Jew and asserting that even fasting on Yom Kippur would not earn him divine forgiveness.
"You are simply a carcass," Rahav wrote, referring to Eliyahu's remarks about the Kaplan protesters, some of whom he noted had returned home in coffins. Rahav, identifying as secular, stated he would pray on Yom Kippur for people like Eliyahu to be removed from the next government and relegated to "the garbage heap of history."
Rahav urged Eliyahu to listen to bereaved father Yizhar Shai, and others like him, whom Rahav described as "the salt of the earth" and an honor to the Israeli flag. He concluded by stating, "The people of Israel despise you. Go, go, go, go, carcass."
