Asked by ynet whether the IDF was under restrictions and whether it would strike in Beirut, he replied, "There are limitations. We will act according to the instructions of the political leadership."
Defrin also said Hezbollah had violated the ceasefire and described the group as being in a "holding action." His comments came amid questions about the scope of Israel's response in Lebanon and whether strikes could extend to the Lebanese capital.
