Yahav Gorfinkel Poised for Return to Maccabi Haifa After Cyprus Stint
Israeli defender Yahav Gorfinkel has been released by Cypriot club AEK Larnaca, making him a potential candidate to rejoin Maccabi Haifa, the club where he began his career. AEK Larnaca officially announced the mutual termination of Gorfinkel's contract, thanking him for his contributions and wishing him success.
Gorfinkel is a product of Maccabi Haifa's youth academy. His career path included loan spells at Hapoel Nazareth Illit, Hapoel Hadera, and Hapoel Haifa. He also played for Norrköping in Sweden before returning to Israel for two seasons with Hapoel Tel Aviv, and had a stint with Chengdu.
In January, Gorfinkel moved to AEK Larnaca. Last season, he made six league appearances and two in the Conference League. This season, he played in two Conference League qualifying matches against Beitar Jerusalem.
