Rishon Lezion Municipality Continues Tradition of Distributing Palm Fronds for Sukkot

Ahead of the Sukkot holiday, which falls at the end of September, the Rishon Lezion Municipality will distribute palm fronds to city residents. This initiative is part of the city's preparations for the holiday and continues an established municipal tradition to assist residents in building their sukkahs.

The distribution will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at three locations: the cemetery parking lot on Yosef Burg Street, the Histadrut Country Club parking lot at the end of Ben Gurion Street, and the Live Park parking lot.

The municipality emphasized that the distribution will continue until supplies run out, on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees must present identification to receive the palm fronds. The city invites residents to collect the fronds and prepare for the holiday.

Mayor Raz Kinstlich expressed his enthusiasm for Sukkot, highlighting its connection to family, community, and tradition. He stated, "I am happy that this year too we are continuing the municipal tradition and distributing palm fronds for sukkah roofing to help residents prepare for the holiday. It is a small gesture, but one that allows us to be part of the holiday preparations for our community." He wished all residents a happy Sukkot holiday.
