Driver Sentenced to 7 Years for Fatal Crash Killing Engaged Couple
A court has sentenced Suria Abu Arar to seven years in prison for causing a fatal car accident that killed an engaged couple, Shahaf Danino and Eliab Abukasis. The couple was killed just three months before their wedding.
In addition to the prison sentence, Abu Arar was ordered to pay 180,000 shekels in compensation to each family. The court also ruled to return her vehicle, which had been impounded following the incident. Reports indicate that the driver attempted to conceal evidence after the crash.
The sentencing brings a measure of closure to the families of the victims, who lost their loved ones in a tragic road accident.
