Former Unity Party Candidate Questions Party's Withdrawal

Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Hazzi Nehama, a leader of the Reserve Commanders and Fighters Forum and a former candidate for Gilad Erdan's Unity Party, expressed surprise and disappointment regarding the party's decision to withdraw from the political arena. The party announced its withdrawal after failing to surpass the electoral threshold in all recent polls.

Nehama stated in a radio interview that the lack of public and political support for the party raises questions, especially given what he perceives as a demand from the public for right-wing unity. He described a sense of missed opportunity, noting that the party's inability to gain traction despite the perceived public desire for unity is puzzling.

He further elaborated on a perceived disconnect between public declarations and actions, suggesting that while the public repeatedly expresses a desire for unity, individuals tend to become entrenched in their positions when it comes time to make a decision at the ballot box.
