Hapoel Haifa Coach Confirms Striker Toureman Stays Through Season

Hapoel Haifa coach Haim Silvas has dismissed speculation that striker Alon Toureman might leave the club, stating he will remain with the team until at least the end of the current season. Toureman, who has been linked with a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv, is considered a vital part of Hapoel Haifa's philosophy and plays a key role in their offensive strategy, according to Silvas.

The coach's comments came after Hapoel Haifa secured their first win of the season, defeating Bnei Sakhnin 3-1. All goals were scored in the first half, though Silvas expressed concern about the team's performance in the second half, noting a drop in concentration and control.

Silvas praised Toureman's understanding of the team's tactics and his ability to complement his teammates. He also mentioned that club owner Yoav Katz confirmed Toureman's commitment to staying and "did what needed to be done" to ensure his continued presence.

On the opposing side, Bnei Sakhnin coach Yossi Abuksis lamented his team's poor defensive performance, particularly in the first half, calling it a "horror show." He admitted that his team deserved to lose and expressed frustration with repeated individual defensive errors that prevented them from recovering after conceding.

Abuksis acknowledged the fans' anger and their desire for better performance, stating that the team needs time to gel after recent player acquisitions. He concluded that the team's defensive lapses were the worst he has witnessed as a coach.
