Five Injured in Two-Car Crash on Highway 1 Near Ben Gurion Airport
An accident involving two vehicles occurred on Highway 1 westbound near the Ben Gurion Airport interchange on Tuesday evening at approximately 8:37 PM. Emergency medical services responded to the scene.
Paramedics treated five individuals who sustained injuries in the collision. Among the injured were a 70-year-old woman with a pelvic injury, a 70-year-old man with a head injury, and a 19-year-old woman with chest and limb injuries. All three were reported in moderate condition.
Two other individuals suffered minor injuries. The injured parties were transported to two hospitals: Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer and Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh).
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
