Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder Stav Turi'el was sent off with two yellow cards during the Tel Aviv derby against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Friday. The first yellow card was issued after Turi'el pushed an opponent, Davida, who had just scored and was celebrating with a "pew pew" gesture. Turi'el received his second yellow card for a foul on Helio Varela, resulting in his first-ever red card in the Israeli Premier League.
The red card means Hapoel Tel Aviv will play the second half of the derby with ten men, trailing 2-1. Turi'el will also miss the upcoming match against Hapoel Petah Tikva, which is the team's final game before the international break.
