Ondas Holdings Acquires Israeli Firm GATE Technologies for $205 Million

Ondas Holdings, a provider of autonomous systems and advanced defense technologies, announced its acquisition of Israeli company GATE Technologies and its European partner, Bron Technologies, for $205 million. An additional $185 million may be paid contingent upon meeting performance targets by the end of 2028.

GATE, founded in 2006, specializes in electronic fuze systems for weapons, a growing market as armaments become smaller and more autonomous. The company's products are integrated into numerous global weapon systems, including missiles, rockets, drones, and loitering munitions. This acquisition strategically positions Ondas in the rapidly expanding precise strike capabilities for unmanned platforms, a market projected to grow significantly.

The acquisition of Bron Technologies in Poland will establish a crucial manufacturing, licensing, and distribution base for Ondas in Europe, complementing its U.S. operations set to launch products in 2027. Ondas Chairman and CEO Eric Brock stated that GATE is a strategic addition, emphasizing the increasing demand for autonomous precision strike systems and Ondas's commitment to investing in manufacturing, engineering, and international expansion.

This move is part of Ondas's ongoing expansion strategy in Israel, which began with the acquisition of drone company Airobotics. The company has since acquired several other Israeli defense firms, including Iron Drone, RoboTeam, 4M Defense, Apeiro Motion, and most recently, Sentrycs for approximately $225 million. Ondas is also reportedly in discussions to acquire another Israeli startup, Oz.
