Explosives, Gun, Ammo Stolen From IDF Seized; Four Terror Suspects Arrested
Israeli police, Border Police, and National Guard forces conducted operations in Tayibe and Kafr Qasim over the weekend as part of a crackdown on crime and violent disputes within the Arab community. During the operations, explosives, components for bomb-making, and weapons suspected of being stolen from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were confiscated.
In Tayibe, officers and volunteers searched an open area, discovering over 6.5 kilograms of explosives and devices for making bombs, including a remote detonator. In a separate operation in Kafr Qasim, police, tactical Border Police, National Guard, and Border Police forces searched four locations.
They found a Glock 19 pistol hidden in a sock, a full 9mm magazine, and additional magazines for a long gun, all believed to have been stolen from the IDF. Four suspects were arrested and taken for questioning. Police sappers handled the seized weapons, which were transferred to forensic labs for further analysis.
