Local Rivals Meet in Third Division Cup Final
The Third Division Cup final for the Shomron region will take place this evening at 9 PM on the Tira stadium, featuring local rivals Bnei Tira and Hapoel Tayibe, both from the Third Division. The winner will advance to compete against teams from the First and Second divisions.
Hapoel Tayibe coach Wissam Masarwa emphasized the importance of the cup match, stating that winning the trophy would boost team and fan morale ahead of league play. "What matters to us is that the match proceeds in a sporting atmosphere with our brothers from Tira, because we have strong ties with them. It's like a match between people from one town, and we ask God for success," Masarwa said.
Hapoel Tayibe reached the final by defeating Hapoel Pardesiya 2-1 away and Maccabi Hasharon Netanya 3-0 at home. Bnei Tira, coached by Mohammed Samara, advanced by beating Maccabi Youth Qalansawe 1-0 and Hapoel Oranit on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
