While Israel's ranking in terms of academics among 25-24 year olds has slipped slightly, its enrollment rate remains high at 47%. However, a global skills assessment (PIAAC) indicates that Israeli graduates, despite their numbers, demonstrate skills comparable to high school graduates worldwide, suggesting a gap in practical application and critical thinking.
The core argument is that the widening gap between technological progress and human emotional and cognitive development necessitates human guidance. Oren likens this to the concept of 'Human in the Loop' in AI, where human oversight and direction are crucial.
