Maccabi Netanya Seeks Defender, May Freeze Out Khvachagiani

Maccabi Netanya is actively seeking to strengthen its squad, particularly in the central defense position, and is reportedly planning to freeze out Georgian defender Saba Khvachagiani due to recurring knee injuries. The team is preparing for an upcoming match against Hapoel Ramat Gan, with key player Maor Levy sidelined for several days due to injury. Basem Zaroura is expected to start in Levy's place. Coach Roni Levi faces a decision regarding the left-back position, with options including shifting Ben Feldman or starting Amit Cohen there. The team is also in negotiations to reach a financial agreement with midfielder Itay Ben Shabat, who is being pursued by Hapoel Petah Tikva.

In terms of new acquisitions, the club is close to signing a new player, Isaac, who is expected to arrive within 24 hours for medical tests and a contract signing.
