Parents Sue for $33,000 After Daughter Beaten, Filmed by Teen

The parents of a 15-year-old girl, identified as Limor, have filed a lawsuit seeking 120,000 shekels (approximately $33,000 USD) against the parents of a 13-year-old girl, Lital, who allegedly organized a brutal assault on their daughter. The lawsuit was submitted to the Beersheba Magistrate's Court, with details emerging on September 14, 2026, according to Ynet. The attack occurred in May 2026, stemming from a dispute over a boy.

According to the lawsuit, Lital, seeking revenge after learning the boy had kissed Limor, insisted on a face-to-face meeting despite Limor's attempts to resolve the issue via WhatsApp. When Limor arrived at the designated location, Lital allegedly struck her. As Limor tried to leave, other teenagers, reportedly friends of Lital, surrounded her. One individual allegedly grabbed Limor by the hair and threw her to the ground. The lawsuit states that Lital then continued to punch and strike Limor while she was on the ground, crying and in distress.

Onlookers filmed the assault and later shared the videos on WhatsApp. Limor's parents reported the incident to the police, leading to Lital and another teenager being questioned. Evidence presented by the plaintiffs includes screenshots of messages where the alleged perpetrator, Lital, appears to instruct others to delete their chats, stating, "Delete all your chats in case the police contact you." The lawsuit claims Lital not only orchestrated the attack and involved others but also disseminated the videos online, causing significant damage to Limor's privacy, reputation, and dignity.

Limor's parents are demanding compensation, asserting that age should not absolve individuals of responsibility for violence. Their legal representatives stated the lawsuit aims to achieve justice and serve as a deterrent, emphasizing that violence carries consequences. Following the attack, Limor has been undergoing treatment and experienced significant fear, prompting her family to relocate. Her father noted that the incident has had a lasting impact beyond the physical assault and verbal abuse, highlighting a lack of parental supervision and understanding of boundaries among the involved youths.
