Retired Colonel Calls for 'Shaming' and Dismissal of IDF Intelligence Unit Members Involved in Gaza Film

A retired Israeli military colonel, Professor Gabi Siboni, has strongly criticized members of the IDF's Unit 8200 who allegedly participated in the film "Nezah," which presents anonymous testimonies against IDF operations in the Gaza Strip. The film recently won an award at the Venice Film Festival.

In a radio interview, Siboni called for these individuals to be publicly "shamed" and expelled from military service with disgrace. He asserted that the IDF knows how to identify those who collaborated with what he termed a "despicable plot" and urged the military to take action.

Siboni's remarks follow a sharp official response from the IDF spokesperson in English. The IDF questioned the identity and involvement level of the interviewees, stating that the testimonies addressed issues beyond the scope of knowledge for junior soldiers. The military suggested that the claims in the film might exceed the expertise of lower-ranking personnel.
