Jerusalem Woman, 40, Found Dead at Home After Holiday
A woman in her 40s was discovered deceased in her Jerusalem apartment on the evening after the holiday, more than a day after her passing. A family member found her when visiting the residence on Ezrat Yoldot Street after the holiday concluded.
ZAKA (Disaster Victim Identification and Rescue) received a report around 11:00 PM and dispatched volunteers from its Jerusalem district to the scene. The volunteers handled the body with respect and collected evidence. According to reports, the woman had been in contact with her family on the evening before the holiday.
Rabbi Bentsi Oiring, commander of ZAKA Jerusalem district, coordinated with police officers to expedite the necessary procedures. Due to the swift actions, the deceased was released directly from the scene for burial, and a ZAKA ambulance transported her to the Shagar funeral home.
