Two People in Their 70s Found Dead in Separate Jerusalem Apartments Within Hours

On Monday, two individuals in their 70s were found dead in separate apartments in Jerusalem within a short time frame. The first case occurred around 11:00 AM on Leib Yafe Street, where a woman in her 70s was discovered deceased after failing to show up for work and being unreachable. Concerned for her wellbeing, her employer alerted emergency services. Volunteers from ZAKA Jerusalem responded promptly, handled the scene respectfully, and later released the woman for burial.

Shortly thereafter, another report came from Hadolav Street, where a man around 70 years old was found dead in his apartment. ZAKA volunteers also attended this scene and managed it with care. Rabbi Bentzi Oiring, commander of ZAKA Jerusalem, noted the swift and dedicated response to both incidents, emphasizing the volunteers' respect for the deceased and support for the families during these difficult times. Volunteers Yaakov Sonnenfeld and Gedaliah Shinein, who assisted at the Hadolav Street scene, confirmed the man was found deceased at home and that they worked diligently to honor his memory.
