Netanyahu Warns Hezbollah of Severe Retaliation for Attacks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, stating that if the organization attacks again, it will face even heavier blows. This statement follows the recent discovery and dismantling of tunnels by the IDF and Shin Bet in the area of Ali Taher.

In parallel, the Houthi movement in Yemen has intensified its regional activities. The Houthis claim to have conducted a significant military operation targeting military facilities and infrastructure at King Khalid Air Base in Saudi Arabia, using ballistic missiles and drones. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarea stated that their forces will continue such operations as long as Saudi Arabia continues its "hostile aggression" against Yemen, vowing to escalate in response to any new aggression and maintain a "siege against siege" policy.

Meanwhile, the strategic Bab el-Mandeb strait remains a focal point of regional tension. Yemeni officials warn that Houthi control of the strait signifies Iranian influence, potentially enabling them to acquire weapons and exert pressure on global trade. Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to discuss the situation in Bab el-Mandeb, which is currently under Houthi control. Egypt has reportedly rejected a Houthi proposal for direct talks regarding maritime traffic coordination in the strait, with the head of the Suez Canal Authority emphasizing that the organization is not internationally recognized.

In other developments, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' navy reported an explosion on the oil tanker Algaya in the southern Strait of Hormuz, attributing it to naval mines. Efforts to control the fire were unsuccessful. The US Vice President, Kamala Harris, acknowledged concerns over the Houthi blockade, stating that the US is monitoring the situation and in communication with allies and directly with the Houthis, asserting that the US feels in control.

On the Palestinian front, the IDF and Shin Bet arrested two senior Hamas operatives in Tulkarm, who were allegedly involved in terrorist activities and arms trafficking. The IDF also reported intercepting five drones suspected of being intended for terrorist purposes during an operation in Judea and Samaria, and conducted several airstrikes in Gaza targeting militants.
