Jaffa Police Arrest 21-Year-Old Suspect in Shooting Incident, Seize Weapon
Jaffa police arrested a 21-year-old man on Tuesday evening on suspicion of involvement in a shooting incident that occurred earlier that day in the city. During the arrest, officers also seized a handgun and ammunition believed to have been used in the shooting.
The incident began around 7:30 PM when police received a report of gunfire on Lib Ben Sara Street in Jaffa. Responding officers from the Jaffa station secured the scene and began collecting evidence. Shortly thereafter, they apprehended the suspect near his home.
A search conducted near the suspect's residence resulted in the discovery of a loaded firearm. The suspect was taken to the Jaffa police station for further questioning. Authorities stated they intend to request an extension of his detention from the court as the investigation continues.
