New Details Emerge in Caucasus Crime Boss Murder Investigation

New details have surfaced regarding the assassination of Yanus Yushbayev, the head of the Caucasus crime family, last month. Shortly before his death, Yushbayev attended a meeting at the "Agenda" restaurant in Caesarea. He left the meeting just moments before being shot and killed. A suspect who was also present at the meeting reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

One individual who attended the meeting has been apprehended by police and confirmed his presence. This suspect claims he was summoned to the meeting due to a financial debt and denies any involvement in the murder. He told investigators that after the meeting, he drove towards central Israel and only learned of Yushbayev's death near Tel Aviv.

Investigators are exploring the possibility that the meeting was a "red herring" designed to lull Yushbayev into a false sense of security, given his known conflicts with other criminals. Police currently have three suspects in custody: the primary suspect in the murder, his brother, and the individual who attended the meeting and fled.
